The COVID-19 has led to a huge change in our way of doing things, and it continues to have an impact on businesses and events around the world. This extends obviously to play shows such as Gamescom, which work at a purely digital level since 2020. This year, however, the German show will return to attendance in person, inviting the public to return to the immense show later This year..
As reported by Venturebeat, the Gamescom 2022 will no longer sell any tickets than before, but the co-organizer Felix Falk says it will always be "the biggest game exhibition in the world" when it will open from 24 to 28 August.
It appears that the event will be responsible for COVID restrictions and targets an "climate neutral" approach to carbon dioxide emissions. "It contains all the digital parts we have developed over the last two years," says Falk. "We already have COVID measures in mind, and because we have six months left, we are considering the measures we will have at the end of August... we are very confident that, with some of the steps we have already in place, we can have a Very good atmosphere gamescom and a feeling of return. »
It will be interesting to see if other events will fit the step, slowly bringing back attendance in person. What do you think? Will you go to Cologne for Gamescom 2022? Tell us in the Comments section below.
