Blizzard is accused of destroying documents

It seems that the situation that is lived in Blizzard is still getting worse. Recently it was announced that the Department of Housing and Just Employment of California, DFEH for its acronym in English, has updated its demand against the company, to add complaints made by temporary employees, and accuse the company of the Destruction of important documents for research.

According to updated demand, documents and records have not been maintained as required by law and Documents related to research and complaints were destroyed by human resources personnel and emails They eliminate 30 days after the employee's separation.

This has caused a negative response from Blizzard's employees , who have indicated to the Human Resources Department not to take seriously the accusations of harassment and inappropriate behavior in the work area. This was what the company said in this regard:

Throughout our commitment to the DFEH, we have complied with all appropriate requests in support of its review, even when we had been implementing reforms to ensure that our workplaces are welcoming and safe for all employees. These changes continue today and include:

  • Various changes in high level personnel;

--Renewed Practices of Recruitment and Recruitment that require various interview panels;

-Mayor transparency about salary equity;

  • Extended and improved research and training and training for human resources and compliance personnel;

  • Distance of research teams outside the business units to support greater independence;

-Breastructuredivisions restructured to support greater accountability;

-Processes improved revision to include the evaluation of managers by employees;

-Lock lights about behavior in the workplace with a zero tolerance approach to harassment and other actions that diminish or margin.

We strive to be a company that recognizes and celebrates the various talents and perspectives that lead to the creation of excellent and attractive entertainment worldwide. We have provided the DFEH clear evidence that we do not have wage disparities or gender promotion. Our Senior Leadership is increasingly diverse, with a growing number of women in key leadership positions throughout the company. We share the goal of DFEH of a safe and inclusive place of work that rewards employees equitably and we commit ourselves to give an example that others can follow.

Regarding the affirmations that we have destroyed information crushing documents, these affirmations are not true. We take the appropriate measures to preserve the relevant information for DFEH research.

At the moment it is not clear what the impact that the alleged mishandling of the required documents will have on demand. Without a doubt, This new report does not paint a good image for Blizzard , especially considering rumors where they are indicated that the study could come to an end at the beginning of next year.
